I wish I knew this tool earlier. I've written something related myself [0], though the bookmarks are managed in plain yaml files and transformed into a shareable HTML file. I think I could have build this workflow upon Buku as well. Ma

I have written StaticMarks[0], where I manage most of my bookmarks. The bookmarks are stored in yaml files and transformed into a single, shareable HTML file. You get all the flexibility, but on the other hand the additional cost of setting

Yes, it's a workaround, but I like ePubs, as they allow me to change the font size etc. at runtime.

Thanks, this looks like something I've been looking for lately. I'd only wished Polar would also support epub books. I couldn't find a reliable epub reader with annotations support for Windows so far.

Server-side analytics is not a silver bullet, but it's great for the quoted use case. While it has the mentioned disadvantages, so do client-side solutions. Many people run adblockers and it's easy - sometimes even a default - to

The "make accessibility a default rather than an afterthought" phrase was exactly what I've been looking for. I'm currently summarizing my evaluation of over 20 UI frameworks for an upcoming blog post. It's a pity t

I guess it mostly depends on your audience and traffic. I've blogged about different ways to handle user feedback [0] (in the context of static sites). If you don't like to self-host comments, there are many third-party or off-sit

For low hanging fruits I would recommend using Lighthouse, which is integrated into Chrome (DevTools → Audit). That's what web.dev is also using [0]. Under the hood "axe-core" is being used. Another option is pa11y [1]. All t
