Ignoring the other flaws in the piss/CO2 analogy for a second: I think “using the toilet” here is supposed to mean switching to EVs, renewables, etc.

Amen to the idea of including host address and port in every log line about connection success/failure. It's a pet peeve of mine to read "Failed to connect to server" or suchlike in an application log and then have to go

As a local, I was thrilled to see Scarborough on the Yorkshire coast mentioned as one of the first places where the idea of the beach transformed from a nightmarish hellscape into an idyllic retreat. I also feel entitled to mention how - at

Caffeine sets my gnashing off too. two cups of strong coffee in the morning result in clenching all night and headaches the next day. Well worth trying to cut it out completely for a few weeks.

If by “the UK” you’re including the citizenry who use the rail network, then we are quite clearly not getting any kind of bargain whatsoever.

I’m no quantity surveyor, but that sounds like someone placed the decimal point blindfolded in that calculation. A quick google says the mass of just the water on Earth is 0.02% of total mass and the mass of the moon is 1.2% of Earth’s. Som

I tend to think owning a overly-powerful car (which includes basically all German turbo diesels) is more likely to encourage you to drive fast. I'm not a great driver... no serious accidents on four wheels in 20 years of motoring, but
