Yes, I came to write this. If anyone from Affinity is reading this, I really hope they take notice of the demand for the Affinity suite on Linux. It’s really the missing bit on Linux. I own the suite on Mac and Windows and I’ll gladly buy i

I've bought many many games on GOG for years because of this. Lately, GOG games come in installers made out of 20 or so parts which take ages to download manually. The only real way to download their games is by using their GOG Galaxy

Thanks to Valve and Proton/Wine, my games run great on Linux now, in most cases. So, I can say I'm really satisfied. We're certainly miles ahead of, say, 5 years ago.

And so, this is what Proton was for. Hope this is a success, as the success of Linux as a gaming platform is strictly linked to the success of this. It does look very appealing: it could become a Switch with the whole PC library available.

I also noticed it is a recurring self-help philosophical aid, particularly among the tech crowd. Of course, the stoicism version that gets publicized here only keeps the "pragmatical" aspect of stoicism, but ignores all the metaph

Every art has its why. Check out the wonderful work by @MadMaraca [1] as an example of what one can do with voxels. They're truly stunning. I think that the limitations of voxel art are also its expressive power. Pixel art didn't

The reaction of homebrew [1] really makes me dislike the project. They just answered with bullcrap, instead of directly addressing the matter. [1] https://github.com/Homebrew/brew/pull/6745

I think there's a misunderstanding: Tantacrul, the developer with a pretty active Youtube channel, works for the Muse Group, which acquired Audacity. This has nothing to do with him. A company acquired Audacity, not him, and he's

I agree with this. Moreover, people who do fall into addicted behaviors are often very aware of the risks and dangers involved with their choices. However, the present desire or satisfaction that the impulse provides them overrides such awa

Apart from the Blender manual itself, I don't think there are. In general, I also find the repetition of basic things in every Blender video to be exhausting, even if by sticking to it I do learn a lot more stuff. Ian Hubert and his 1

That changed with Blender 2.80, which was an incredibly successful achievement. I'd say the interface is one of the most beautiful and pleasant I've ever used for a pro tool. It really ticks every usability box and it looks damn g

This is correct, but it's only valid for Windows 10 Pro. For Windows 10 Home, being disconnected is the only solution, for now.

I'm fully aware of what S mode is. A family member bought a 600€ laptop from Dell that came with Windows S. To unlock it and allow said family member to install software that is not on the Microsoft Store (which is to say, any software

I recently discovered, while helping a family member, that to unlock Windows from S mode you now need a Microsoft account. This is really crazy: I need a stupid Microsoft account to use my PC. Without mentioning that the only way to creat

In my desperate quest for a Google alternative, I've given Qwant a try, some time ago. In the end, it was the usual soup: Bing search results with a different brand. Not only that, but Qwant's UI was confusing and ugly. If France&
