I feel 3rd party recruiters are such a massive waste of time and a drag on the overall process. Has anyone built a true job search engine that simply links back to the original company's site (instead of some recruiting agency)? It s

Some courses are trash: Computer Networks, Knowledge Based AI, Databases, System Design. Others are amazing: Big Data for Health, AI, Compilers, Deep Learning, Operating Systems, Computer Architecture. All in all, for the price (and the rig

Not the person you asked, but I've done the same. The answer: you have to choose the classes well. If you go with some easy classes for credit, you will be disappointed. If you decide to really do the program, then there are at least 1

This made me laugh out loud. Tourette's Guy was my first Internet obsession back in the late 90s.

I agree with the premise here. If she does get 20 years, then Sunny Balwani is going to get the chair.

It does not give me imposter syndrome. It just tells me I know absolutely nothing despite having a so-called advanced degree from "a top school". God damn it.

Maybe, or grass is greener? Also don’t know if I would pass IC technical interviews after so many years as manager. The leetcode grind seems out of reach for me now.

Yep this. Trust, but verify. If a manager (or IC, for that matter) is failing in my org, then it is absolutely my problem. VPs won’t accept “these were by my buttons to push” as an excuse.

In general, yes. I sleep a tiny bit better when someone takes something over from me. If they complete that well, I will go to bat for them to get them recognized.

I have two problems with this suggestion: - Director should be technical / Team Leads should be technical, but the person between them shouldn't? That sounds like a recipe for going behind the EM's back at every possible junc

I am a manager of managers. Haven't taken any vacations of more than 5 days since 2011. Constantly worry about my technical skills becoming obsolete - hence I have to do coding on the side. Constantly worry about whether my managers wi
