Portugal still has the crazy tax system where deductions are applied over the whole salary, not the bands? That was one thing that never made any sense to me - effectively removing motivations for salary increases, as you could end up with

just wanted to point out that the joy of these approaches is that you can render on the server with the same components. the method for feeding it data obviously differs, but that's (when done right) pretty minimal. my favourite way of

For sure! looking forward to becoming a customer. I guess the journey I went through was missing some intermediate step between playing at the repl with an in memory db (which I believe you’ve mentioned before as being a good way to get han

There's a few people asking about how to get something up quickly to play with - this was a problem for me, and it isn't really well explained, but for those interested, Alexander Kiel's datomic free docker image has worked w

Just to share one example - visual studio has an amazing developer experience for exploring and debugging node apps. I wonder if there's anything else out there which comes close..?

Cross pollination of ideas from working with different languages is a very powerful thing. Coders often, sadly, regard 'their language' as a walled garden, whereas in fact there is so much crossover in terms of technique, it only

Server side rendering is mentioned in the post - for me, angular 1.x was a dead end because it did not run on the server (disregarding the confusion around services, factories etc, and all the horror in templating logic, debugging it etc) -

About the keyboard being hidden behind a developer flag - actually it looks like the keyboard that pops up when using the ChromeOS accessibility options. Handy when interacting with the device from a distance with only a pointing device.

Sigh, that's sad. It baffles me that there are still so many services that try to 'automagically' intuit which language someone wants to have a service in, instead of just simply .. asking. Google play is a prime culprit, for
