Where are you finding paid gigs for it? I'm a freelance rails dev right now doing meteor stuff on the side and wouldn't mind doing some real work with it.

Useless comment, but I had this exact same idea a while back (was basically GitHub + SoundCloud, used "resample" instead of "re-pull." I eventually lost motivation and never got an MVP going, but I'm glad someone ha

Oh, also, if you like the DAFT idea, this guy has had some great recommendations (I've been talking to him a bit as well). He handles all the paperwork and ensures that your business plan will be accepted. http://www.avocado

I'm in the same boat, but if you're american, one alternative is the DAFT treaty (what I'm attempting to do, just takes a bit of savings). Also, New Zealand has a working holiday visa if you're under 30. http:/

"For a typical pixar/dreamworks movie, it takes about $1.25 million/per minute of film." Not doubting you, but do you have a source for this?

I applied many months ago and haven't got an invitation, but I also have barely any experience in game dev (no finished games). They might be handing 'em out to qualified game devs only right now?

As Tossrock, dubstep is usually a pretty slow BPM. I'm a fan of fast myself and usually listen to a lot of DNB & breakcore (up to 190bpm), you might enjoy it. http://www.last.fm/tag/dnb http://www.last.fm/tag/breakcore
