Make sure to read the books and maybe consider buying "Programming Rust" by Blandy & Orendorff which is easily one of the best language books I ever read, especially when combined with the free books available online. I used

I tried to switch from macOS to Linux Ubuntu running wayland gnome. HiDPI is sort of ish there. I have been using GNOME with a 4k monitor a year or so. It works fine, including most exceptions. The exception are Gtk+2 applications such as

You are part of the vocal, online minority that doesn't look at Mint and cringe because it looks so amateur and dated. I have used macOS for 10 years[1] and I always had the same feeling about Windows 7. The icons looked ugly, apps w

Thanks for providing this and thanks for allowing us to pay for an account. I hope that sr.ht becomes sustainable, it's great to have an alternative that is focused on open source developers.

The C API permits training and running. But you have to define and serialize the graph in Python (or C++). (Of course, you could also write Tensorflow protobuf directly, but that would be tedious.)

I’ve invested heavily in the Apple ecosystem so it pains me to see these issues. Same here. I have a MacBook Pro 2016 with AppleCare, that I want to sell before the AppleCare runs out (with some margin) and definitely before the extended

This is mostly due to the keyboard still being part of the chassis. And they mention having to remove the logic board to replace the battery as a downside.

And the MacBook and MacBook Pro w/o touch bar still have the older butterfly keyboard without membrane. Their line-up is quite a mess. I don't see why they haven't updated the MacBook Pro without touch bar or the MacBook 12&q

Even in the regular case it can be non-terminating by using left-recursive rules. E.g. consider parsing a*: as --> as, [a]. as --> []. Prolog will recurse infinitely on the first rule.

But then I had to use the Nix language. And that was a great displeasure, and I ended giving up NixOS all together because of this one pain point. Could you articulate why? I have only been using Nix for ~3 months, but so far I do not rea

Indeed, just two days ago I made a derivation for a large binary, which is built against an older Boost (1.58). On most other package managers, this would be painful, but with Nix I just made a derivation for that version of Boost by overri

This is true and in reality most Nix users are package authors. You will probably find things that are not packaged and you will have to author them. Just wanted to add that Nix currently has the most software packaged in any distribution
