Check out 'Air Video', plays anything from your machine to your iPad over wifi without syncing. Works remarkably well.

You can use a Macbook in closed-lid mode to use only an external display. Also, if you open the lid afterwards, you can hit 'detect displays' to wake up the internal display. No reconnecting necessary.

That's because Fox News isn't really a news channel anymore, they're more of a 24/7 entertainment/reality TV thing pretending to be a news channel. No wonder their ratings are so much higher - news is boring compared to entertainment.

This is pretty awesome. I wish that more APIs were better designed, though I think that the best APIs come out when you can iterate on their design with enough flexibility to remove the pain points and common questions. The author gets it

I bet these people were typing in 'facebook login' into the Firefox URL bar, which did an I'm Feeling Lucky search on Google. Most days, that takes you to the actual Facebook login page, but that day it went to ReadWriteWeb. How confusing
