This is an impossible counterfactual to figure out. Microsoft crushed Netscape, and it's far from clear that continuing Netscape as it had been going would have had anywhere near the success that Mozilla ultimately had.

I completely agree and think pricing should reflect more of the externalities. Side note: I do not consider myself a "handy" person. Never cared much for fixing things around the house. However, thanks to YouTube and (at least in

I agree that App Engine 2 is a totally different beast with very different features and that the migration path is challenging. I just think that by unbundling the services is a win overall... our application looks more like a normal Go web

I think GCP is a very different beast from the rest of Google and that its approach to business has essentially nothing to do with the rest of Google's. I'd also argue that GCP is different from Google Workspace (Google Docs/

I like the look of the tutorials you've linked to! This definitely seems like a useful format. One worry I always have when a new tool like this comes out, especially as a SaaS: what's the business model? It's just too much o

I live in a place with fairly snowy winters, which seems like a huge problem for self-driving cars. I completely agree with this thought that we should work on making our roads help the self-driving cars. If we had started that effort sever

Perhaps the free plan shouldn't be free? Vimeo has a $7/month plan, and that's actually a better deal than what a lot of podcast hosting companies charge today.

I don't think we have many redundancies, especially after all of this upgrade work. When we deprecate user-facing functionality, that's done with our product managers making the call, and involves usage data and a lot of coordinat
