This is very much a non-argument. Call the columns the 4th and 7th is as arbitrary as calling them the 3rd and the 6th. Again, 0-based indexing exists to fit a purpose: http://www.cs.utexas.edu/users/EWD/transcrip

Nice, but doesn't do the Fast.ai course justice. All of the 10 things mentioned are shown in the first 3 / 14 lessons.

I'd like to switch to Zotero, but I've been using Mendeley for a good 5 years, and built a decent workflow around it. I was wondering if anyone here took the leap and made the switch, and could perhaps point out some of the bigges

I'm using Org Mode to write my thesis and, although most of the functionality I use comes from vanilla org mode, I do need to write some Elisp to get the LaTeX export working properly, and to knit different projects together into a sin

According to Wikipedia, GDPR arrives on the 25th of May. Do you know it services are truly forced to comply from that day onwards or should we wait even longer?

Org-ref is one of the most beautiful things that happened to the org-mode ecosystem IMO. It’s truly second to none in ease of use. Couple that with Helm fuzzy searching and any pdf/bibtex reference is a keystroke away. Absolutely worth

But why does "Given a random person, probability of saying it's homosexual" equal 0.5? I'd say that should be 0.04.

I don't know if I can follow. You say that if their classifier had 100% accuracy, then the probability of being homosexual would increase to 8%? That doesn't make much sense.

I'm really happy with posteo.org 1. Ad-free, bloat-free, 1 Eur / month. 2. Privacy respecting, with clear transparency reports. 3. Support for IMAP/POP3.

I was excited to dig into Smalltalk some time ago, and downloaded Pharo 5. The reason I quit after a couple of minutes is that there was no support for standard Unix keybindings (i.e., C-a beginning-of-line), and no way to configure Pharo t
