I think you don't get the point. If there's no gap between the boss and the LLM, the boss is accountable for whatever the LLM produces. That sort of accountability will be rejected by any boss. In the real world, bosses rely on t

This goes against what you said above: > Because, until recently, it was very costly to replace the code. AI "programmers" will create completely new code in a few minutes so there's no need to maintain it. If there are ne

That's not the goal of LLMs. CEOs and high-level executives need people beneath them to handle ambiguous or non-explicit commands and take ownership of their actions from conception to release. Sure, LLMs can be configured to handle va

I think that until LLMs can assertively say "no" to your requests, we won't be able to rely on them autonomously. The greatest downside of ChatGPT, Copilot, and similar tools is that they always give you something in return,

Code can't easily be replaced. It's "soft"ware sure, but why do you think banks are still using Cobol? Why do you think my old company is still running a deprecated version of Zend (PHP framework)?

Yeah. I think this is the elephant in the room. I keep stumbling upon "We need to verify you are a human" by Cloudflare in many sites around the web. Crazy.

Didn't one of the major ISPs in Spain go down like a weeek ago (movistar) and that caused some emergency numbers to not function properly for some time? I wouldn't be surprised if critical (digital) infrastructure would rely on Cl

How they usually address the fact that 50% of their target market is already wearing glasses? Would they just ignore that 50% in their first iteration and then sell customised smart glasses ?

I think the problem here is traffic and cars. Seems crazy to think that it’s normalised to be in alert mode 100% of the time when out of your home because of cars. Every corner, every cross, I need to stop and double check for cars otherwis

I don't think that's the solution. Proprietary LLMs will just keep growing, and it doesn't seem like the open source alternatives are gaining much traction. I guess it's because you need a lot of money to train high-qual

No. The "golden" end state of coding agents is free and open source coding agents running on my machine (or in whatever machine I want). Can you imagine paying for every command you run in your terminal? For every `ls`, `ps`, `kil

How does one pay taxes when selling minor side projects? I have never been a contractor/freelancer and I have never setup a company. This is the main pain in the ass for me when it comes to generating some side income. I'm in Euro

Thanks, Sherlock. Now, tell me, when senior engineers start to retire, who will replace them? Ah, yeah, I can hear you say "LLMs!". And LLMs will rewrite themselves so we won't need seniors anymore writing code. And LLMs will

I see this as a contradiction to be honest. On one side, yes, I like to "walk" the city (to go for groceries, to buy some tech stuff, to buy clothes, to go to restaurants, cinemas, etc.). One the other side, I don't want to l

I think the reason to split the marketing page from the dashboard one is that you can deploy one without the other. I would actually prefer to have all the marketing stuff in its own repo away from any dashboard code.

All it takes is to provide a slightly better prompt (“write the answer in a natural prose style, no bullet points, no boring style, perhaps introduce a small error). It’s not that difficult.
