I'm not sure I would recommend this for kids. It seems quite abstract and children often have a hard time with abstract thinking. The course starts off with seven lessons on tooling and JavaScript fundamentals before you actually do so

From personal experience and from reading the other comments, some people see open source as a popularity contest and more stars will get you more users (which in turn gets you more stars). Choosing one library over another just because it

I hope they standardize the interface for password managers as well, so that 3rd party password managers can be as secure as the browser's own built-in ones.

Parts of the Firefox JS engine (SpiderMonkey) are written in Rust (although nothing really significant I believe).

Fedora is using cgroups v2 by default since last year. This version of cgroups was not supported by docker until a couple of weeks ago. So as a Fedora user you could either use podman or modify your installation to use cgroups v1 instead.

There's no reasonable way to compare performance between PostgreSQL and MongoDB because they're not the same kind of product and they don't have a similar query interface. You can take a particular application and compare per

Also not great. An "architect" once threw a POC at my team like "hey, look at how easy it is to do this!", then other people started adding requirements and then wondered why it took us that long if the "architect&q

From the outside, it seems like Javascript developers are all in high school, participating in a popularity contest, feel the need to sprinkle emoji everywhere and communicate solely with memes and gifs.

This being on top of Hacker News with 600+ comments at the time of writing means that Slack flushed millions of dollars worth of developer productivity down the toilet (i.e. all the people spending time complaining about Slack here).
