Soaring construction costs are in no small part due to government regulations and NIMBYs. Labor shortage is partly to blame, but labor is short partly because of the housing shortage. [1] [1] https://www.bizjournals.com/sanf

It's a pretty aggravating experience using Prime video, but I agree they have some decent stuff on there now. It's annoying to watch a season of something for free, then have them only selling the next one though.

It doesn't have to be solely responsible to be reprehensible. Contributing to teen suicide by glamorizing it on television is like glamorizing terrorists (Rolling Stone - Tsarnaev) or school shooters in my mind.

I think another factor in the next recession will be the actual usage. My local Wework hit 100% dedicated desk occupancy, but if you walked around M-F business hours it was nearly a ghost town. Huge numbers of these desks are paid by compan

They quadrupled their revenue while keeping their losses flat in just 3 years, for a sticky high margin enterprise product. With just modest revenue growth they'll be able to optimize towards profit whenever they choose.

Does the buyer have any way to tell if an item is commingled, and if the seller they selected does not commingle? The pressure to get the buy box on competitive items means missing out on sales if you don't commingle.

A bit more clarification, the page right now says: "Sold by Spark Maestro and Fulfilled by Amazon." While this is a 3rd party sale, it will be fulfilled from the inventory Amazon has from any other seller. It has to ship from the

If it's not fulfilled by Amazon, it ships from the manufacturer or retailer.

Amazon commingles inventory, so it doesn't matter which 3rd party you select from the product page. Any one of them can inject the counterfeit into the supply and affect sales from the others.

I'm in the same situation, one chute, no recycling except cardboard. At least we can both rest easy that none of our garbage is being dumped in the ocean.

Why would any paper bag need to be dumped in the ocean? Are U.S. plastic bags and single use takeout containers ending up in the ocean in significant quantities? If so, what municipality is dumping them in and why aren't we stopping th

Does it make a difference if the pot is calling the kettle black here? Even if the US admitted it, that would strengthen the argument. “We know it’s a national security threat, because we do it”.

You didn't mention what that utilization rate was, but it makes perfect sense to me. Using those cards so much gave the impression that you "needed" the credit line, even if you paid it off by the end of the month. If you hav

Slightly off topic, but for power tool work / lawnmowers I can heartily recommend 3M Worktunes. It's like $50 bucks and you get decent bluetooth speakers with ear protection, and the battery lasts all day.

It's not just people supporting policies with that effect (like the GND). I've met plenty of people pushing for equality of outcome over opportunity, and seriously proposing confiscating all the wealth of the rich to do so.
