Wow, on the face this looks like a really great rule. I suspect there's going to be an ton of irate specialists (especially anesthesiologists) who were making fortunes from surprise billing.

In your setup, Hasura is verifying a claim inside the JWT returned from Auth0 right? The only Hasura configuration I remember was setting the Auth0 public key and creating roles. I struggled with React/Cognito/AzureAD/Amplify

> Politicians need to step in and make this illegal. That would only make the situation even worse, hospitals would raise their absurd gouging rates even higher if government required it. Reform is needed but on both sides of that table.

While I have no sympathy for the insurance companies, many hospitals are all too eager to gouge the hell out of emergency services and resist attempts to reduce costs. It's where you get slammed with out-of-network specialists.

They've paid out the benefits for "this year". They could have, but did not, raise base compensation by the value of those benefits.

I could have added more context to my initial comment. I meant to convey that the Strong Towns movement has a much steeper uphill battle than I realized when I was younger and living in high density settings, not that it was wrong outright.

I used to be all about the Strong Towns ethos, but now that I’m older I’ve run to the type of suburb they decry. A nice SFH, big yard, garage filled with tools, good schools, and quiet winding streets all tucked almost a mile from commercia

In my experience those comments are often paired with tone problems, such as arrogance or aggressiveness. I always try to vouch or upvote any that seem unwarranted to me.

It's meant to be the very bottom of the range, so it might be formulaic but it's not intended to represent the actual value at that moment.

It wasn't up 60%, $250 was a nonsense bottom of the range number they use because they have to pick something. Nobody could buy at that price.

We’ll see in trial, but based on this article it doesn’t look like the FBI groomed this guy to commit a crime, but someone handed him off to an undercover agent after he was intent on doing it. That’s nice to see.

It looks like they cut a single 43ft board from the oak, then cut that into 4 planks for the kiln and milling process. After that completed they would join them back together. You lose at least an 1/8" for the blade width plus wha

Coinbase doesn't use Tether to store customer funds, they are straight USD or the BTC/ETH itself. I'm not sure how a "bank run", or heavy withdrawal of USD, would cause any more problems than processing delays.
