Note that this is despite significant price drops. Looking at the entire US, the numbers look a bit different. Teslas best selling car sold 10% less, not as bad as RAM and some others (RAM PU -25%). At the same time more vehicles are being

One thing I have been wondering ia if removing aarch32 support would make these cores more efficient. The 32-bit support is not limited to ISA (where instructions such as LPM can mess with the entire pipeline) but also the memory system sin

The minutes for this meeting is not public yet, but in general gnome foundation minutes are extremly vague on all subjects (e.g. "a change was proposed and the board approved it"). Code of conduct issues seem to bring out certain

Greetings! Fellow dead man walking here. I think the bird flu outbreak 10-15 years ago was fought so efficiently it created a group of people questioning if it ever was a real problem. My theory is that this was one of the reasons covid was

I like that their app (unlike chatgpt) doesn't request accessing to everything on the device. If it needs a picture or document it will use the Android API to receive one chosen by the user.

Well, these devices where just released, there is no official or even non-official support yet. But I think in 3 or 6 months things will look very different.

I don't really buy his justification that ".PHONY: xxx" is hard to remember so we should have a completly new tool instead. Make has its issues, but it also has two big advantages: it's simple and everyone already have i

Wouldn't a shell script work just as well than? I'm not against new better tooling, but I also want to keep my dev machine reasonably clean.

What is the reason for using "just" here? I understand people have their tooling preferences, but this looks like something that build.rs or a plain makefile could have handled?

Serious question: are there any legitimate uses of this domain, for people who don't use twitter?

I saw this as a kid and really liked it, but probably didn't get the whole plot and all the politics. There was recently a TV show with a similar theme: a spaceship is on its way to outerspace, but what the crew does not know is that t

I'm implementing a somewhat complex software in both Go and Rust. The Rust version is bith shorter and more readable - and probably more efficient - thanks to Rust enums and Rust error handling. I don't understand why golang doesn

Sorry for a possibly stupid question, but I assume a lot of prompts will be duplicate of questions other people have asked. Can one construct an AI cache system to minimise the questions sent to the model? Can one use a "cheaper"
