People are not buying gold because they think it will become the basis of a new monetary system, they're buying it because it's one of the few assets that are small, portable can be easily and discreetly sold and which rises in value during

Perhaps we need two types of airliners one for the old and whiney, kind of like a retirement home in the sky... and the other for people with a sense of wanderlust...

I'm aware this is a positive change, my point is as a developer it breeds ever increasing uncertainty. Apple introduce draconian changes penciled in to come into effect in four months time, everyone complains about it, they don't say or do

I truly don't understand why apple does this, I can only assume its because they have nothing but contempt for the people who develop apps for their platform.

We all know how this will go, apple waits six months until it's pissed off the maximum number of people and then it'll reverse its decision or make the terms much more acceptable.

Stupid question, what's the legality or the "rules" on extracting pic + chunk of text from random websites? Are there any rules I presume there must be?

Microsoft didn't change the rules every 3 months, sure they drive netscape out of the market but they never said that netscape couldn't run on windows. If you develop for windows you could be absolutely sure your app would install and work

Depends if the aggregator has reviews from previous customers or not, if they do then I would say it's a better source of information than the hotel website itself. Google probably thinks your more likely to be searching for reputation info

I know google does try and combat this. For example any adsense account making more than x dollars per day does get investigated and if they're deemed to be too spammy their sites often get penalised in the indexes e.t.c. But adsense is onl

Small point perhaps but a place I was working at five years ago was developing in house custom apps for their workforce on the old windows mobile phones (probably 5 or 6? can't remember) but they did it because you could dev in .net and wel

The thing to remember with China is that there is a law on the books so that practically everything is illegal. The law isn't there to tell you what you can or can't do, it's there so that if you piss off the wrong people they can come down

I have to say I am quite worried about China's economy if I'm honest. Everytime you build a big black box that sucks in and spews money but nobody is entirely sure how it works (think American mortgage market/banking system circa 2008) and
