obsidian ticks most of those boxes, it's flat file, markup based, free, offline by design. don't think it has git integration but since its flat file you can likely rig something up.

Regular, predictable monthly income is just a better model for businesses than irregular large one off purchases. Customers generally don't mind so long as they can cancel easily if they find they don't need or want the product. P

Anything that has to work on mobile is pretty much never going to have much in the way of "analyze and understand" when it comes to maps. There's just not enough space.

A triple A game isn't viable on PC alone nowadays, it has to release on console and hence has to account for what modern (both PC and console) players expect. You're claiming to be a fan of this niche but haven't played any o

Ultimately the mods are volunteers, they get to do what they want? More precisely I would imagine they don't care about facilitating/refereeing culture wars inside their subs, cause lord only knows how much work that would be.

I imagine the mods have a fairly finely tuned sense of which threads will turn into a shitstorm and don't give a fuck about pre-emptively killing them. And honestly I WISH nobody used reddit anymore, maybe it could roll back 10 years w

For people who don't die it's still not a cakewalk, people describe it as the worst thing they've ever had and others barely even know they've had it.

I base my personal hatred of vim on the first time I encountered it and couldn't escape from it. CTRL C, CTRL Z... nothing worked, I was utterly trapped, I think I may have even had to reboot the system to get out of it. I decided anyt
