In a nutshell Zoomendar is a fully touch-enabled calendar. Basically you navigate your calendar by swiping, tapping and pinching. As always I'd love feedback of any kind. Video to see how it works - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbrBKmPru

Here's my latest work worth showing. Started it back in late October, and while it definitely didn't take me THAT long (life got in the way plenty) this is definitely more than just a "weekend project" for me. In a nutshell Zoomendar is a f

>It was thus difficult for Semmelweis to make a "scientific" case for why the lime worked Aren't you supposed to regard empiricism above all else in science? While holding to that rule would force Semmelweis to alter his theory as well,

I feel like ranking more popular apps higher in search results hurts app discovery, which I can't imagine is their goal.

What does suck about this from the consumer standpoint though is now when ordering if you want to upgrade a component from the base model you pay Apple prices to do so. For example Apple has historically overcharged for RAM and hard drive u

Apple spends money developing Xcode yet when they started charging $5 for it there was a huge outcry. I feel like HN often upvotes the most contrarian comment by default (assuming it's well argued).

The last bit the author mentions is something I've thought about recently, which is - where do I live? Inside my head or outside of it? I find myself primarily living inside my head, which is a very different world than the one around me. W

The inspiration was just various things I liked from different puzzle games I've played. Figured they'd go well together. Works on iOS 4.2+ since it includes Gamecenter. Thanks for checking it out :)

To add to this I remember when OS X came out there was a lot of groaning about how slow window resizing was. Years of improvement later it still lags a hair. Noticeably slower than windows.

As a fellow iOS developer I feel your pain - I've been dreading the forced move to Lion since Lion's release. I haven't researched this yet but a possible solution would be to install Lion and Xcode on a VM? Then you could update the OS as

I can't remember where I heard this, so don't quote me, but I've heard it partially has to do with graphics kexts in some or all of those machines being 32-bit and a reluctance from Apple and the manufacturers (Intel, AMD, Nvidia) to update

To add to this, I think it's important that OP knows this is a good thing. I built my computer just over 3 years ago when DDR2 prices bottomed out, so I have 8GB, and this thing is still more computer than I need. I boot up, load all my a

Here's the message I've been given, maybe it's changed without my noticing but I think it's remained consistent - balance means giving each variable in an equation similar weight. Eating only one or two food groups is not optimal for health

I don't think there's been much change in this area, it's been "eat in moderation, eat a balanced diet and exercise" for as long as I can remember.

I went to UC Davis when this (Davis wiki) was launched. It was invaluable at the time. But I wonder how well it will fare elsewhere these days. You need a decent-sized community to get good content, but most decent-sized communities are alr

Here's what I wonder, though - how often do people watch movies at home on a 7" screen? Don't they have a better (larger) option? The reason I ask is with no 3G and only 8GB of storage, the Fire doesn't strike me as being all that great for
