I switched to systemd-boot because I could not boot even after wiping all grub files, reinstalling and running grub-mkconfig. Worked fine in minutes with all my kernel entries and Windows. Before that I tried rEFInd, wrote a small lean conf

I like vanilla Android and currently own a Motorola exactly because of this. Installing just what you need is trivial anyway.

I am not a fan of ligatures either. The "compose" key would be another option to insert various Unicode glyphs and it exists already. Unfortunately, with monospace fonts many of these glyphs do not look nice to me due to the width

Why does this matter? Both the brain and the workstation have finite amounts of memory, since they have finite masses, and can do random errors when trying to go through a series of steps. It is just the magnitudes that differ regarding the

LCD monitors have strong backlights but most of it is lost. You have diffusers, polarizers, color filters, opaque elements between pixels, and this is before the blocking done to construct the final image. I think the overall intensity lo

I do not know what buyers actually expect, but the phrase "FSD Beta" should sound very stupid to anyone with half a brain. It means that it almost drives like a human or better and it needs a bit of polishing. It is not only false

Wireplumber stores volume settings in ~/.local/state/wireplumber/. It is not a DE thing. I use i3. I have a separate mic and it remembers the volume.

Not sure at all this will help, but wireplumber is supposed to be the replacement for pipewire-media-session. So this is something easy you could try if your distribution has a package for wireplumber.

I guess you are not referring to some MS extension but to the editor itself, right? I had an issue around a year ago with cpptools on Linux, where a single 80k LOC header would cause obscene memory usage (10+ G) and the extension would basi

You got the wrong numbers for the 4004! The 4004 had just 2300 transistors in a 12 mm^2 area. So, today you can fit 3*10^8 * 12 = 3.6*10^9 transistors in that area, or 1.5 million 4004s, or 650 4004s in the area of the old transistor.
