"But the scale of the potential impact is mind-concentrating" I've never heard this expression before. Is it common in English? Sounds to me like it is a descendant of "mind bottling" which again is a corruption of

Interesting. My hometown in Austria recently installed new lampposts; and all of them are downward-facing. I don't know if this was a conscious decision to reduce light pollution, but it worked wonders. The roads are better lit than be

Do they mostly work now? I remember trying a San Andreas Multiplayer Mod quite a long time ago, but it was ridden with bugs and basically unusable. Thank you for reminding me these exist, in any case.

Same in Austria. It's commonly called "Maggi-Kraut", because it tastes very similar to a sauce produced by Maggi (which is now part of Nestlé). Funnily enough, the sauce doesn't contain any lovage.

Ah, interesting, I hadn't heard about that. Seems like it should work in Edge then, at least with minimal changes: WebExtensions APIs are inspired by the existing Google Chrome extension APIs, and are supported by Opera, Firefox, and

Sure, but I'm not saying that human "understanding" is "better", only different from current AI. But who knows, I could be wrong and at a certain layer of abstraction they might be quite similar.

Right, that was one of the reasons why I put the word in quotes. But I'm sure that if one were to define "understanding" with regard to humans, then what the AI does would be far from it. I might be terribly wrong here though
