Can't wait for this to land on the iPad. I despise WhatsApp with a passion but it's an undeniable reality in large parts of the world, including here in India, so I might as well use it where I find convenient.

Here's a funny thing: I did most of the things you did, but I kept going back to twitter et al using my browser. The biggest change, though, was removing my ad blocker. Being confronted with tons of garbage ads forced me to stop using

refreshing to see large scale providers still relying on „old-school“ tech! Somewhat OT but Github is really "old school" - they don't have an SPA frontend and render most things server side the classic Rails way, w

That’s fine, but you can’t sign people up for medical trials just because people die from diseases anyway. You don’t get to force other people into becoming Guinea pigs for science.

The GPL wouldn't affect server-side JS (you'd need the AGPL for that), but client-side JS would have to be released under the GPL in un-minified form.

I keep thinking about this event and it seems like a fractal of bizarre phenomena. The act of stripping git history and attribution while forking is itself malicious, but then aggressively creating pull requests across major projects to us

That’s fine and all, but who’s going to volunteer to die for no fault of their own , just to progress science? Heck, what if it isn’t even someone who signed up for the FSD beta but just a random bystander the car decided to run over.

Something about the structure of the paragraph after the quote makes it hard to follow. I think it's this bit: I thought the only reference to his wife was (x). But, that was because (y). The paragraph is structured as if y ex

His keynotes for RailsConfs are among the best talks I've ever watched. You always start off thinking it's just a comedy routine but by the end you know a lot more about Rails and Ruby than you did before.

To some extent, you can do what you’re talking about with Rails using ViewComponent and Stimulus. ViewComponent allows you to write reusable components in Rails. I’m using it in a project and it’s nice, but not perfect.
