I'm glad serde exists but I don't like HOW it works: I think there should be a push for rust-lang to provide introspection. If you want to use serde, every crate needs to derive serde traits as well. This is not only bad architect

Performance is not predictable, and basically everything is cache-miss. I love JS but this statement is absolutely true.

preact is much simpler than react (~3KB), and whats weird, it's also faster BTW: code is very easy to read/follow https://github.com/preactjs/preact/

Given how much MS was into developers I would say this was more about learning just one set of APIs.

deno is definitely better in the sense that it's way more compatible with browser and I think that's really big thing in the long run (but nodejs could do that too, eventually) regarding 1000+ deps, yes that's a bad thing but

Do you have an actual experience with nodejs/deno? There are many (server-side) things where javascript is not a good choice but "smart-proxies" or micro-service-orchestration kinds of things are definitely super-easy to do i

TLDR the article says that nodes are just a "frontend" and the real work is done by backend which is data-oriented anyway. tensorflow has python frontend and that is "slow" too, yet it doesn't matter because most of

Bevy is the nicest ECS I've tried yet you can prototype something much faster in JS. And prototyping is the fun part. After 2ys doing rust all I can say is that it is nice as long as you know exactly what you want to do. And you often
