What do you mean? Do you mean the coops that have a max income? Because those obviously don't count, they can't rent out a studio for $2k when the resident isn't allowed to make more than 75k. Or do you mean applications that

I mean, it practically is. I live in Manhattan, and with the exception of a very few places (basically UES right on the river and then the projects) any studio apartment south of 100th (~115th on the west side) street is going to be $2000&#

Yeah, different term for the same thing. The technical term is government bond (as opposed to corporate), but most people call the US bonds Treasury notes or T-notes for short.

When people talk about a company having "cash" they don't mean a stack of $100 bills, it just refers to any low-risk and liquid asset. US Treasury notes are by far the most common. As to where they keep that paper, there'

10% is around a months wages. I'd tell them to get lost if that's all they offered to train my replacement (plus regular salary), I could find a new job in less than a month. I'd need a few months severance to go through that

Huh, neat. I'd seen @classmethod a few times but wasn't sure what it did. I need to see if I can refactor some code now.

I didn't have any example of extra power, just in with blocks you have some downsides compared to RAII but no upsides. By downsides I mean that in C++ you write the constructor/destructor and never worry about it again, but in pyt

you can do something like with a(b(c)) as f: but then you risk any of those functions throwing an exception and screwing up the whole thing. You can move the resource allocation from __init__ to __enter__, but now you split your in

I mentioned those. They work, but they're just a weak form of RAII without any extra power.

As someone that works 90% with python and 10% with C++, that's something that gets missed in the debates about GC/manual memory management. It's a lot easier to leak resources in python programs because the whole point is you

I agree, although I probably wouldn't ask this in an interview just because of the risk of them seeing it before. At least when I was solving it it felt very much like debugging; you have a few snapshots of the variables and you have t

Which is part of what's meant. Don't create your own crpyto algorithm and don't write your own implementations of existing algorithms. There are so many gotchas that it would take a lot of effort to get something that's

Part of the reason the subway is so messed up is it's run by the state, not the city, as part of the general state-wide public transit. The city/state relationship is messed up, the debacle of the subways shutting down for only 6&

Is there any point to generating primes that large? I thought one of the reasons to prefer ECC was because it uses a much smaller key than RSA.

You're assuming that their performance is directly proportional to the performance of the market as a whole. My understanding is it's tied to how they perform against an index like the S&P 500. The S&P 500 lost something l
