Interesting that this doesn't apply to engineers, only product, sales, and g&a. Why is that? I have heard arguments that engineering salaries are likewise kept low through collusion but this wouldn't provide any evidence for

You have a choice to go to a trade school instead of a college. But why not try to learn something new? Engineering may be fun, but it won't put you in touch with humanity, if that's all you ever study. You may regret that in 60

This is a worthwhile consideration for all of us. I do think it's helpful for your career development, socialization, skill and salary advancement, to spend some time in the "Capitol" of SV. But leaving before it burns you

Yes but you must realize it can't work for everyone. Clearly you made some smart decisions that involved a lot of sacrifice to end up in this position, and I'm not denigrating that at all. But a) not everyone has the ability to

I've seen the exact opposite. Startup, pivoted 3x in 3 years. The younger devs have a much harder time accepting he pivot and figuring out how to adapt. So without any more substantive evidence, my experience definitely refutes this

There are 4 inputs needed to estimate sample size for a test: power, confidence level, expected difference, and variance. You need all 4 before you run any test. You use the A/A test to estimate variance. Power is the probability o
