I have a good five digit amount of cash prepared. That's enough to buy plane tickets and pay drivers to get where I want. I live in Europe and not far away from me is one of the largest European pagodas - even the Dalai Lama has been h

Call me crazy but I have always had this exit plan. If my business completely fails, I'd give away my stuff and live in buddhist temples, would visit Tibet, travel around and spend my days meditating and helping people. Sounds like an

The TW 601, a prototype from 1970, has been in Canada (Vancouver and Edmonton) since 1975. It has been moved back to Hanover (Germany) this year. Some infos: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/TW_601 (German article w/

Second this. But I have to admit, Zazen (the Zen form of meditation) is challenging. It's different from what one usually thinks about meditating.

Although I find your post a bit too harsh here and there, I generally agree. "Getting the job done" is the pretty important aspect for me here. And the reason why I've (again) bought a new MacBook. I am a freelance software d

Looks interesting! When we switched to Clojure (from nodejs), we decided against any kind of ORM and use HugSQL which allows us to write "plain SQL" in .sql files while still using parameters.

I have spent twice the money you stated for a new MacBook Pro 13". I'd say, the primary point is "it just works". I know, once it's been delivered, I'll install a couple of tools, transfer some files and it wil

I use a 60% Vortex Pok3r with Cherry MX Clears and it perfectly fits my needs. Looks wonderful in my setup, feels very good, and I enjoy typing. Working in vim is definitely an advantage, though.

I never understand people who want to have a touch screen in such a form factor. I mean, I would have to move my hand from my keyboard to the screen. That sounds very inefficient to me (but I am a heavy keyboard user, though).
