I have to say, I love that default behaviour. Too many newer command line programms need some obscure option to make them write to stdout. Some let you replace the filename with a dash but too many of them don't follow that standard, s

I'm mad at myself for not managing to figure this out myself. I guess i made more assumptions about the limitations than there were in the description of the problem.

This article says nothing about compensation for heavy R&D costs. It doesn't concern itself with develpment and production costs at all. It is just describing ways in which consumers can be manipulated into spending the highest amo

Is it me or are marketing people and economists just incapable of not sounding like scumbags? The "trap" that is the Labor Theory of Value may not be the most profitable but maybe it's the most ethical, both compensating the

Love the idea. But the link always leads to a page with the file on it, not the file itself. Specially for picture sharing that's not really acceptable for me.

Highly disagree with the author. Not everyone who learns to code needs to go on to become a software developer or engineer. I actually really like the idea of coding being another skill like sewing, cooking or arts and crafts. Something tha

Looks neat, but recently I discovered farbfeld[1] and I think I'll be sticking with that for the time being. I'm starting to believe data-specific compression algorithms are the wrong way to go. [1] http://tools.suckless
