Nobody, at all, would disagree with you. Do you have an idea how to get there?

I have long since resigned myself to the fact that "declarative language" in practice only means that you don't have to manually write the for-loops anymore. The concept of declarative languages seems like it has so much pote

I highly doubt the author gets any say in the matter.

I open this link. The fan of my T480 starts blowing audibly and is getting louder. I can feel a delay when marking some text. All it does is render some text. Thankfully, scrolling stays smooth. I close the page. My fan calms down. I think

This is a marketing strategy for the rich. These people have to demonstrate feats of work to justify why they make thousands of times more money than normal people. Of course, no person can do work that is a thousand times more valuable tha

Funny, I just found the same site yesterday, and found this post when I considered posting it myself just now.

I would argue that this is still "a way to establish a connection between the two browsers" and therefore does not contradict my comment, but this does seem very interesting and I will look into it further.

I've been using file.pizza for the exact same thing. Can't evaluate sharedrop right now because it is dead, but I find that the aesthetic of file.pizza makes it very approachable for a lot of people, though some people might consi

That's pretty neat! Good to know. Mine doesn't do it yet though. I'm also worried about discoverability if they don't give any indication that the camera has this feature.

Yeah, they just used a terrible internal name for the feature they are removing, that makes it sound way more severe than it actually is. Seems somewhat tone-deaf with one of the big criticisms of the project being their restrictiveness reg

It's still strange to me that android doesn't come with a simple qr reader. They did the right thing with the thousand crappy flashlight apps, and just integrated the functionality in the OS. They should do the same with QR code s

There are other ways of deciding who gets a valuable resource, like housing in an area that a lot of people want to be in, than giving it to the person with the most money. This defeatism always can drive me nuts.

This is the standard right wing excuses why social programms like they are assumed elsewhere, can't be implemented in the US. But I haven't seen a good explanation how one thing prevents the other yet.

I actually have my twitter and mastodon accounts linked with this, but I assume a bridge like the other commenter requested would allow to follow any twitter acount from your Mastodon account.

There is no bridge. I highly doubt the Twitter API TOS would even allow it. What you can do is get a client that supports both Mastodon as well as Twitter. I recommend Twidere on Android. https://f-droid.org/de/packages

I haven't thought about this before, so it might be my thoughts would evolve further if I thought about it more. But after I considered it for a moment, I would pay for it if I got the source with it, and a license to publish that sour

Because the ads someone wants to see, like movie trailers or new products of interest to them, you go looking for yourself. The big tech and media conferences are viewed by a ton of people completely voluntarialy. The "value" of a
