Tablets are going to be consumption devices. I think mobile phones are seeing the same sort of stagnancy as PCs/laptops did a few years back. We no longer want faster hardware as we did say, 7-10 years back on a laptop. Mobiles have g

Make this a multiplayer, an MMO! Force a slightly different field of view, like a chase view and it'll get even better!

I think the one big reason to use one that is missing, is that they are reliable as hell. The texture and the feel of it doesn't go away, not nearly as quickly as the membrane ones. The $20 one I've been using has been with me sin

I quite like forums for recommendations. There are specific threads made for genres. One massive resource is http://www.head-fi.org/f/9/music .

I don't know. I kinda chuckled at the last image on the page. I thought it looked like some sort of mission control for an interstellar space launch, with a random tourist couple in lab coats at the helm, with no clue of what is going

Something about that first photo also also reminded me of the Last Supper.

On the contrary, I'm saying they are popular views accepted in public and I'm told I'm wrong. I live in India.

That morals and what's right and wrong are not universal, and up to each individual. That you can do whatever you want to do, if you feel it's right. However, when the onslaught of someone else doing something that appears right t

Slightly off-topic. I quite like Google Finance for monitoring stocks and the portfolios, but god, what an awful, completely ignored mobile app! It won't even sync data. The desktop version is so simplistic and nicer in comparison. Any

I wonder how active the 3D-CG scene is these days. In the mid-2000s there was so much activity on CGsociety (then cgtalk.com). The kind of work people posted there was just out of this world. Absolutely impressive attention to detail. I was

CGTalk (now CGsociety) doesn't seem as active and lush as it was back in 2002 - 2007 or so. Has everyone moved to some other community? Can anyone shed some light on other communities?

Haha! I did just that 2 weeks back, dredmorbius. At first with a completely blank keyboard, I struggled a bit. I decided to fit in the Ctrl Winkey Alt the left row of keys first and it all happened naturally after that.

What it needs is a very simple UI, setup process for mass adoption. It's one of those things that makes people hesitate. Instead they opt for simpler stuff like Hamachi, Tunggle, etc. I haven't used it in ages, if I'm brutall

These guys need to go through that Yahoo process of changing designs and logos everyday for a month and choose a popular one. Even Digg seems to have diluted and become like a content aggregation site than what it used to be
