Also an ex-Googler here, they cast the net far and wide trying to pick up SRE. When I was there they were offering significant bounties for submitting recommendations that only had to make it pass the resume screen. Want a brand new shiny P

There has been a lot of comments on the piracy aspect, but I think the cheats are just as important, if not more so. With the assumption that the vast majority of players don't want to jump through the hoops to deal with keeping updated on

I remember buying games in 1980's. Over $130 in today's dollars. I do seem to remember them having a pretty good amount of play time in them. Of course, in the Apple II/Commodore world, we really didn't have to worry about keeping up with h

Ironically, EA will probably try to claim the "success" of the promo by using numbers for all the games claimed as if they were all discrete individuals. While at the same time trying to claw back the licenses.

Step one: stop and think what you liked and why. GMail worked for you. Why? The reason it works for me is MH-like semantics, proper MIME handling, and distributed/"cloud based" storage. I'd take a locally hosted solution in a heartbeat. (Ev

Sadly, there is a growing contingent amongst the computer security/hacker scene who, instead of actually looking to improve things, are looking to be indignant about something. A major conference has recently had to deal with issues stemmin
