I try to say when you use a good programming language with a really cool compiler which can prevent a lot of errors you can be very efficient and don't lose most of time in debugger!

According to memory management, yes but you have a lot of benefit from the strong type-safe system, ecosystem, testing and etc.

Yes, you right according to "deterministic" but you forget about overhead. Rust gives you more safe control on memory management and in most cases, you can always write the fast and efficient safe program without the overhead. Rus

You absolutely right! You can imagine what Google can do with his resources when even one programmer writes his own OS, file system, etc on Rust - https://github.com/redox-os/ !

Swift can't replace Rust in system programming domain because he uses ARC for memory management but Rust gives you choices.

I think TiKV is a good example where team chose Rust over Modern C++. Rust gives the same performance and is close to metal like C when it is necessary. All possible memory management mistakes it catches at compile time if it's not &qu

Your works are very amazing! I have three questions :) 1. Could you say your opinion about future of Rust. Will it become mainstream? 2. Pros/cons between Rust and C for system programming? 3. I heard many times that implementation of

Julia seems very attractive with clear syntax and really fast! I wish you best! I think Julia should be very nice in server-side development.

But for me, this difference is nothing, because on Rust we can write safe and fast close to metal code. I think Rust is the greatest modern system programming language.
