Oh the unintended irony. Go's syntax may be simple enough to pick up in a few weeks but writing "good" Go code turns out to be much much harder. Idiomatic Go can take a year or two to internalize and introducing non idiomatic

They haven't been easy to get a response from for me. Tried to ask a question that wasn't in the FAQ and got silence. That was a few years ago. Went elsewhere. Same situation different question last year and again no response. YMM

The author does state that the article is just a collection of potentially surprising things from other sources. They also state the target audience is those new to Go but know other languages. Title may be a bit over the top but I'll

Still don't get the connection in the way you do. Maybe I'm so used to OO stuff that I just gloss over it. > a language that doesn't support dynamic dispatch. Go's interfaces do support this enough that I consider it

I don't disagree with your conclusion but I don't see it following from the quoted premise. What was your thought chain to get from the quoted text to OO stuff?

Do you philosophically oppose the license or is it because your application might compete?

Unless you're not using it to compete. Which would be most applications providing content directly to users.

Many utilities in the US have this. The utilities charge a fixed monthly fee based on estimated usage. Each year the amount is adjusted based on the previous year. It's not that popular overall but serves lower income households well.
