I got rejected twice, and got an offer on my third try over the course of 3 years. If it's something your really want, don't give up. Also see the "interview anti-loop" http://steve-yegge.blogspot.com/200

Just curious: when you say "make bank" do you mean more than the $200-400k total compensation that people are pulling in at FANG companies? This is the thing that was never clear to me, or most salaried employees: how long would i

Thanks for your feedback! Based off the description of how you already do things, I'd say you're ahead of the curve as far as rigorous model quality benchmarking. You should absolutely hold off of using nitroml for a few months u

The benchmarking challenges you are facing are pretty common in the AutoML community. My colleagues and I at Google Research are trying to solve this with https://github.com/google/nitroml . It's still super early

Great article! A lot of the content and advice is relevant to even regular devs, especially anyone who wants to present or communicate their work to others. Also the AV advice is good for anyone WFH.

Great article! Given we are all working from home now, some of the advice here is helpful even when just a regular dev, as opposed to DevRel.

This is really cool! I'm curious to see how this performs against other AutoML systems like autogluon, autokeras, and AutoML Tables. Do you have any model quality benchmarks on standard research tabular datasets (UCI, OpenML, PMLB) or

We have an example of AdaNet on GitHub that uses several complex CNN layers (conv2d, pooling, linearly-separable layers) as part of the NASNet-A architecture (presented in https://arxiv.org/abs/1707.07012 ): https:

Great question! In the simplest case, AdaNet allows you to ensemble independent subnetworks from a linear model to user-defined DenseNet/AmoebaNet-style networks. But more interesting is sharing information (tensor outputs or which hyp

We started with Estimator because it’s the easiest to train and deploy with production infrastructure. Having a Keras model API is a good idea: it would make it easier to try AdaNet. Feel free to file a feature request on the GitHub repo:

If you're looking for an Emacs terminal+x-clipboard solution, I created an elisp pull request [1] for Spacemacs for adding that kind of support and handling SSH, Tmux, and Emacs. Note, this isn't a perfect solution, but it works w

Hey all, I've been working on gotests for the past couple months outside of work. My team at Google works in Go, and has gotten a lot of utility out of this tool/plugin. It generates tests that follow Google's own Go style gu

The app is very much in it's alpha stage. I don't have a designer, and have focused mostly on the product. Don't worry, the first thing to get an overhaul is the design of the landing page as soon as I get the chance.
