I host Commento for a couple sites, and it's awesome. It's really easy to manage and it kind of just works. My only gripe with it is the lack of email notifications for followup comments, but that's certainly not a deal break

exercism.io has been pretty high quality every time I've looked at it. They also support a wide range of languages.

In a sense, they are. You'll just lose points for not doing the work. Clearly not what you were suggesting of course, but it's true. Can you clarify how you think this would work?

Literally anyone with an Android or Chrome OS device. Granted, they didn't download and install it themselves, but I don't think that invalidates the point.

You don't have to deal with the jvm for one thing. Java for another. Both of those things are selling points for me.

I mostly work on a desktop, but when I travel, I love my T480. It's user upgradable so it'll last a while for me, and it has removable/replaceable batteries. On a full charge, it lasts like 30 hours when writing, programmin

Can you not default to pretty and have a way to unhide it when necessary? Macs take this approach - they show the Apple logo until the login screen is ready, but if you need to change the boot device or whatever, you can hold down the Optio

T480 checking in as well. Love the user-upgradable hardware, swappable batteries, long battery life, etc. All the hardware worked OOTB, and the keyboard is miles ahead of the MBP keyboard (especially the new crappy ones).

Sure it can! Google could be the only option in Firefox. But that's not the case. In any case, the vast majority of users simply do not care and will happily use whatever is given to them. The people that do care have the ability to

A giant pile of cash is a pretty compelling reason to set Google as the default. I don't think trust has anything to do with it.

Gonna have to agree with the others here. My comment wasn't that helpful and I could have expressed my contempt for "Javascript-all-the-things" in a more constructive way.
