Personally, I prefer Svelte. The boilerplate of a react app alone is a barrier to entry to somebody who primarily focuses on backend and/or systems programming. Svelte is easy to pick up with little experience with "modern fronten

CNC sounds like kind of a bad fit unless you're going to mill the entire frame out of a solid piece of wood -- you'd lose a lot of material to the router bit and still have to do a fair amount of finishing by hand. For mitered joi

Huh. Alright then. Either way, I'd recommend leaning toward a less textured, richer/darker color and species of wood. If you go lighter, it's going to look a little washed out IMO. Also, in your quality control for the wood b

IMO, the bezel is way way way too big for how much screen space there is. Instead of red oak, I'd suggest looking at walnut or cherry -- something with more color and a little less texture might help the screen to take focus. You could

Sounds like a lot of work when the alternative is just using a device that doesn’t spy on you in the first place. For instance, Remarkable is a great e—ink tablet that literally gives you the keys to the kingdom: there’s a UI in the product

Except that’s not all it does. Surely you don’t reduce a web browser down to “an interface that shows bold text” or a television to “a box in my house that shows me Ben Stiller”. So let’s call it what it is: an IDE. Compared to other IDEs,

What's another layer of abstraction on top of _Kubernetes_. #yolo I haven't actually used k8s-backed Dokku, but I imagine that it would be worth at least experimenting with if you're already committed to running stuff on k8s.

I'm not asserting that pixel-by-pixel scrolling (vs scrolling by section) is inherently better as an approach. It's entirely possible that the latter is better somehow! However, the reality is that nearly the entire web is pretty

+1 from me as well. I've been using B2 a lot more lately and it's really just excellent. You could do a lot with a tiny Digital Ocean droplet for your application code + B2 & Cloudflare for serving assets.
