Netflix removed 5-star ratings a while back; they don't have reviews either. Seems like it hasn't impacted the user experience. Arguably improved the experience. Perhaps other sites like Amazon and AirBnb should remove ratings and

I think it's going to be more in the other direction. He really hates the bots, so he'll probably close up the API. Until bots gets solved, no developer should expect the API to open up.

This is a great take. If there's one domino that should fall first, it's the student-athlete one. It's the easiest one to break away (relative to everything else) and should be the cleanest too.

There's a game that I play about an hour a day for the last decade. I wouldn't say I'm very good, but I do understand the game at a competitive level. I just checked my stats for the game, and apparently I'm in the top 2

Microsoft also got Kotick to leave. The cultural integration will be a lot easier than other M&A integrations; everyone at Activision is probably ready to move on from their current culture.

What's the best solution for a semi-anon scenario? The best solution I've seen are Reddit AMAs where mods verify a semi-anon's credentials (e.g. "Mod has confirmed that ___ is an employee at the NIH.")
