There’s actually a potential dark future where even this 10x ascension itself would mark the end of humanity. Humans would be the Homo sapiens who remain at 1x, and those who can access and afford to be 10x eventually split off into a new s

Oh great so you’re saying they’ve independently decided to take on the persona of the killer robots from our sci-fi novels. Very reassuring

Hmm it’s almost as if people are paying good money for iCloud+ or something. They aren’t google and shouldn’t be retiring their services as if they’re giving them away for free

It would be shocking to you if in a market with many competing sellers would there be price competition such that those sellers are operating at a loss? If you’re trying to get me to argue that every seller is operating at a loss, I don’t k

It’s way too early to tell the true cost of intelligence. Inference is still heavily subsidized, and training is apparently being funded by a mountain of free money

That is categorically untrue. Professional Engineers not only face consequences, they are personally liable for the work they put their stamp on, and they can lose their license

Because Engineering is an incredibly rigorous discipline and title that requires so much work to obtain. It’s like a massage therapist calling themself a doctor. Computer Science isn’t Engineering.

That’s because most Software Engineers aren’t Engineers, they’re computer science majors. It’s a completely different discipline.

An approach like C2PA is the only realistic path forward. If the trajectory we're on continues, it's probably safe to assume nearly all content will be AI generated. We need realistic ways to prove content is human generated, and
