Always get a kick out of the markup on cables. USB cables in bulk are less than $0.50, HDMI cables aren't much more. Profit margins on them are ridiculous.

You have no control group so the $1038 vs $626 or unemployment numbers are meaningless. The top would natural succeed even without going to college, you can't tell how much value it actually adds.

No they wouldn't there are a lot of procedures that cost more than a 100k (any transplant, open heart, high end implants are more). Really the government and insurance companies would save a fortune if the cure cost between 100k - 200k.

Completely right. Didn't want to go into detail meant the anti-virus theory and why. I'll try to explain. You want to use HIV because of a few unique properties specifically the fact that you can split the gene material used in replication

Wrong mind set, they could easily charge 100k+ for the treatment and insurance companies would still jump for joy since it's cheaper over the long run.

Came up with an idea (edit: wrote in generalization, took to much credit, sorry, didn't want to bore everyone with details) 10 years ago, everybody thought I was crazy for wanting to inject HIV into people. The idea I had was to treat the h

Really, down voting a post that tries to explain the Austrian School of Economics. Trying to suppress a view point are we?

This is exactly right. Not many people understand the Austrian School of Economics, whatever you want to call it, "supply side", "tax cuts", not even the politicians that campaign for it. Not all tax cuts are created equal and the goal is n

Don't know why more research hasn't been done on Boron fusion. Since it gives off an electron you don't need any turbines or heavy equipment just a transformer. Instead we spend billions on H2 H3 fusion. Makes no sense to me.

It's not the laws themselves (with some exceptions) but the paperwork required to comply. For example Singapore has many of the same laws as the US but they really focus on streamlining the bureaucracy so it's not as heavy a burden.
