Happy Pi Day! I have a friend we nicknamed Pi. His "hobby" at school used to be memorizing the digits after the decimal point in Pi. I remember at some point in time he could recite a few thousand. Never got the point though.

I think G+ should start relying more on content, as the network effect is not working out. Something like what Quora has done. If they manage to get people using G+ somehow, the chances of network effect kicking off will be higher. Right no

No they shouldn't. They should revamp it, remove all the crap content / spam users. If they clean it out and start highlighting the good stuff that they have in there, Answers could be very useful.

I am not a physics researcher, but based on the videos that I have seen and whatever articles I have read, the most fascinating takeaway for me are: 1. That mass is not an intrinsic property of matter; rather it is acquired by the particle'

I feel so sad that there is no competing product out there and thus FB has the balls to repeatedly treat its users insignificantly. It's even more sad FB is using it (the fact that all of my friends are on FB and hence I wouldn't switch) to

Do check the list of sites they search: http://www.momondo.com/we-search/ I don't remember how I stumbled upon these guys, but generally their flight results are the cheapest. They don't do too well in hotels (I tried US ones) though.

Well, then there's the file metadata (inode in Linux: http://www.linux-mag.com/id/8658/ ). It is a very useful chunk of properties attached to the memory unit and provides a base for ton of essential facilities that make life easier.

Was actually discussing with someone I know in Oracle - they are exploring more mobile visibility aggressively. And I guess it wouldn't hurt if they own a popular enterprise mobile platform.

Considering they started it, there is still more scope for Google to leverage Map-Reduce paradigm and probably build more products around it like the Hadoop ecosystem has done. This looks quite useful to start with.

Unless they work out a miracle in 2013, RIM's best bet is to get acquired. And actually they could be a good option for Oracle considering they plan to explore new enterprise avenues.
