This is marked as 1998, but includes mentions of e.g. Clojure and Go, so it's probably been updated since.

Switched back-and-forth as well, and ended up with Logseq long term. In practice, logseq’s block-oriented system works really good for the daily journal, and with obsidian I always devolved to just prepending points to a single file anyway.

I’ve also done 100s of interviews, mostly for mid-senior positions and generally cv-reading and a non-quiz intro interview talking about various technologies and experiences work great. That said, I disagree about lack of any exercises. I t

E.g. you want to have a foreign key that makes sure the “singular” side of a one-to-many relationship isn’t soft-deleted as long as it has anything in the “many” side. Both sides using soft-deletion.

On that note, has anybody figured out a nice way to combine foreign keys and soft deletion (that is, a deleted_at column)? Soft deletion is occasionally useful, but losing foreign keys for it is a big pain. EDIT: got a bunch of responses, t

I've missed this on my initial skim: The one launching next week is Gemini Pro. The one in the benchmarks is Gemini Ultra which is "coming soon". Still, exciting times, can't wait to get my hands on it!

I'm not experienced with Swift development, but did some readings recently (sparked by this talk). It seems like the dev story on Linux is improving, part of it being the rewrite of the Foundation Framework in Swift[0]. The Arc browser

TLDR: they're porting it from C++ to Swift for the safety, ergonomics, and multi-threading guarantees. Cool parts are that they compile C++ and Swift to LLVM bytecode, and then compile all of this together, so they get inlining and wha
