In Postgres at least you can use SET ROLE when getting a connection from the pool and RESET ROLE when returning a connection to the pool, and avoid the problems you describe.

I can see some risk with say Google as the surface area is much larger (maybe they don’t like some play store activity or some ads activity or YouTube activity, etc). But I use my GitHub account and I’m really not worried about automated mo

The difference is with a debit card you are out the money until it gets resolved. With a credit card you aren’t. But most banks will extend the same fraud protections regardless.

While the original CFAA goes back to 1986 it was amended a few times and IIRC the broad expansion happened in 2008.

It’s pretty interesting to compare the report from a year ago when Russia was still seen as some super advanced military threat with the actual performance of the Russian military in Ukraine over the past almost 3 months.

If anything sites like PH seem to be advertising venues for things like OnlyFans, cam sites and even Snapchat profiles.

Probably because being open about allowing adult content will risk advertisers on the rest of the platform and the loss of those advertisers might outweigh the revenue from OnlyFans type profiles.
