I think that's when selling inside America but I don't remember seeing any american company proudly advertising its product as "American". I'd wager that today they want to hide that fact.

Easy fix: Code's basically free now, so just pipe your errors straight into an LLM and get instant patches. Sure, the patches themselves are broken too, but no worries! just pipe those back in again. Code's disposable now, fresh c

The trick to talking to strangers, in my experience, is to find an opportune moment where you have a reason to talk to them (ie: you are both looking at the same departure timetable and you ask about a particular train/flight). The res

Because verifying such claims will require roughly as much work as doing the thing manually; that or the community adopting his project, and testing the claims against their code bases (who doesn't want to run random LLM-generated code

The problem is that maintenance is very expensive. The renter obviously doesn’t want to pay for it. It’s not their property. And the owner doesn’t want to cut into his profit margin for his new venture. Add to that the cheap build quality o

Twitter did lose significant revenues. It came ahead on profit because it aggressively cut costs which is an interesting thing to do for Musk given SpaceX. Maybe he learned that profitability is over-rated?

For me personally, it’s because “AI-powered” products are the most unreliable, buggy and annoying.

I have a feeling the nlnet fund is bunch of nerds who have autonomy over the budget (ie: they are funding namecoin development). I don’t think they represent either the EU or Netherlands position when it comes to privacy.

That's the original definition. I think now first, second, third are used to annotate which level of development a country is at. Especially that now, not all developing countries are equal.

Similar thing in Tunisia where if ruins are found, the government will own the site. Theoretically, it should compensate the owners for their loss, but practically they pay peanuts. So if people find ruins in their lands, they just hide it&

Define objectionable? Not ethical is not illegal but maybe if you are okay with it, do it for yourself. Illegal is just dumb, you are still responsible. So at least, if you are doing, make sure you are appropriately compensated.

I mean, that’s basically the magic of the harness. The whole thing that skyrocketted the intelligence is that the harness (cli tool) prevent the LLM from editing the file before reading it. Can you imagine even a junior making such a mist

I have a custom build command for a rust project (yarn build:lib) and my experience is 120k for GLM and roughly 200-300k for Opus. After that, they default to cargo build.

It's blackmail/extortion. The act of paying the money is the bribe. Here is the Wikipedia definition. > Bribery is the corrupt solicitation, payment, or acceptance of a private favor (a bribe) in exchange for official action.[1

As a libertarian, they are not even close to being the same. A bribe is generally optional where you can opt out of the transaction. Taxes are a racket.

The best chinese models are deepseek (general purpose) and glm (coding) and they are both open weight and share lots of their tooling. There are lots of AI companies and it doesn’t seem that they all have the same funding fountain or share
