Yes I agree! Very good essay, I don't know why this wasn't up voted. Why put your paper on the web behind a pay wall that no one wants to jump over, when you can put your paper on the iPad as a native app that people beg to buy for $1.99. I

Why is every laptop company trying to copy the mac book air if its such a failure. Did it actually lose money? (I honestly don't know). But I do know the Mac Book Air is a great laptop (well not the one that over heated :) If I had the mone

It's a big deal because the iPod had all of this but its size meant the number of apps you could write lived in a small petri dish. The size of the iPad's petri dish is much larger, when compared to the iPhone. For example as they showed:

I like what you have said here, however I have another analogy that describes the part I disagree with. The iPad is a 4 star restaurant, my linux box is my kitchen. I like 4 star resturants and they are not evil (unless they have a 90% mon

This is obviously a joke/comic, but at another level it points to something deeper. There is a really good story about the Aeron chair that is another good example of this graph, but I can't find it.

I also really don't like it when people get all uppity about 'copying.' "Who copied who" is a tired game in the software/hardware industry. The real issue is when someone copies something and claims it as their own, not when someone co

Your essay is great. It makes me feel less alone in this world. I didn't find it full of vehemence. ` It is okay to speak with force. At times force is needed to cut through layers of of mental resistance. New ideas that we don't understa

I'm sure color accuracy and marketing have very little to do with it. If they could have gone with the cheaper LCD they would have, but it would have meant limited viewing angle, which would not have been acceptable.

The way Wikipedia describes IPS it has a better viewing angle but uses more power. Is this the gist of IPS or is there more?

Do you think the folks at www.hackintosh.com will be able to to put Snow Leopard on it? A Mac Mini (with PowerPC-base Core @3.2GHz and Blu Ray player) for $300, this would be awesome!

So does this mean the Apple Tablet is basically an iPhone the size of a kindle? . Doesn't this mean it's capabilities will be about the same as an iPhone? Or is it that a slightly bigger screen does make a huge difference?
