Agreed. But as an exception, I was totally surprised to find how good the aws cloudformation doc's are. Hilariously they are now my starting point for understanding the other aws APIs.

I'd suggest RAML for pure documentation. Its way of structuring resources is nested with the URI, so UI generators can use that information to group together in the docs. Also it supports union types for request/resp. Which means

I've found a good basis in abstract math makes a really wide range of mathy stuff accessible. The first two chunks I would tackle from a high school math + college calculus foundation would be set theory and group theory, and though it

For anyone interested in something a little more fleshed out than this, Metabase is open source, works with most ANSI SQL DBs, and provides SQL and non SQL interfaces for data exploration. Plus it just looks darn nice https://git

I would even argue it's easier to use that random forests. The standalone R package is super slick, with built in cross validation. And if you want to tune the hyperparameters you can just do it in caret. Really accessible stuff.

That's because it's practically new. Tianqi Chen authored the R package for it (original release Aug 2015) and actually posts about it on the Kaggle forums quite frequently.

In theory this is true. But it's very hard to find good instruction that is wilfully light on math. Andrew Ng's course for one requires you to be very comfortable with lin alg and convex optimisation.

This came to mind for me as well. Can any engineers comment on whether current xray technology could do this without breaking the bike?

I agree that the games industry has a problem, but I think it's because they're independent developers selling a consumer product. This creates a direct sense of accountability among a large group of end users who know how to get

Just tried to enable this from my MBP, got a message saying it's not available for my apple ID at this time. So I guess the rollout's not complete yet.

Very much agree. They didn't cover Sanders to the point they had to issue an apology last year, but their coverage since has been paper thin. Their mailers are also practically campaigning for hillary https://i.imgur.com
