Regarding who the shares are borrowed from, from my understanding, any client who signs a margin account agreement also signs something that says "sure, you can borrow my shares, and lend them to another person". Your account will never sh

Sort of. There are times when a structured class gives you more benefit than unstructured. Specific examples off the top of my head are like sciences where you need lab equipment. Or if you're the kind of learner who needs lectures rather

The theory is that Apple can spend the money better than the investor, by using it to do more R&D, make new products, and make the portion of the company represented by the share more valuable. In growth mode, that's not unusual. In co

Except you know, when there's mental illness, physical disease, drug addiction, or some other pretty major reason that they can't just "snap out of it". You are right that people who don't have that kind of barrier should, and mostly do get

I did debate in high school. Specifically the Policy debate variety. And yes, depending on the specific tournament, you had 3 or more rounds, and an even balance of affirmative vs. negative sides. This sounds like this is more of an exhib

Also note that any reasonable broker has both StopLoss and StopLimit orders. Where it's either a market, or limit order that only gets triggered when the price goes to a certain level. (you can stop up too. "Buy if price goes above X", use

Hell, you don't need algorithms to do that. This is just what market makers do. Humans are a bit slower than computers, so the price may fluctuate by a few more cents, but the exact same order will end up happening.

Because they are treated differently on the market. Market orders (sell at any price) are handled first, and then, limit orders are. You can only guarantee one thing: either execution, or a price level. And when you're dealing with stop lo

This is similar to Citrusbyte's Stories library (disclaimer, I work for Citrusbyte). http://github.com/citrusbyte/stories It's a fairly lightweight layer on top of Test::Unit that lets you define nested stories and scenarios, integrating

It feels like a totally made up problem: "Here's a binary search algo description, implement it perfectly without testing". That's not even close to how developers work, and he amplifies the disconnect with the real world by choosing a prob

I don't think the app is meant to be a whole color scheme design tool, so much as a helper that solves the specific question: "What is one shade lighter of this color?". "How about two shades".

You're correct that there is gray area. There's also a ton of stuff way beyond the gray area. Moving depictions of sex off into a .xxx domain would not be very hard. Just because something isn't perfect, doesn't mean it's not a good idea.

Testing is a vague term. There are lots of types of testing, which other posts go over quite well, but I'll give a rundown. * Requirements testing - take the napkin you scribbled your idea on, and mentally run through it a few time. A feat

Most likely it's more than time tracking. It's also paychecks. And once you get into paychecks in government, there are LOTS of nasty little loopholes and special rules that apply only to this small set of people, etc, etc, etc.
