How many more decades of abuse do we have to endure before we realize the DMCA sucks?

I like this idea of a "company's written language", I have known many people who are great communicators who nonetheless didn't write using the correct corporate cultural terms and were viewed as "poor communicators

Yeah like the article says, if you have a following online you are treated quite differently than those who don't. I can still reproduce a major bug in Google search at will, it's a nice party trick.

The United States is now a massive oil exporter, most of the news stories you read about pipelines or other new facilities involve getting this oil out of the country and selling it. "Energy independence" is one of those buzzphras

I have faced similar paths when reporting vulnerabilities in major web applications, namely just getting ignored completely by the company, even by the Facebooks and Googles and other such companies you'd expect to be on top of valid d

The only really interesting part is finding and keeping OS bugs secret. I wonder how many more the NSA is sitting on?

Classic HN, how is the scientific equipment holding up? Dust in nooks and crannies? Why I can't even imagine! Hmm there are humans on the island as well?

I wonder if the backlash against advertising and social and the web more generally will lead to more people buying these sorts of devices to try and own their own networks and information again. Surely the cloud providers and the platforms

The other side of the coin (having grown up dirt poor, nearly starved to death as a child) is that by the time I hit 45 about half my high school class was already dead. Mostly alcohol and the sorts of accidents that come from working dange

I don't understand your complaint, especially since the OC register article you seem to like for whatever reason is not the first to publish and is itself just a cribbed knockoff. Are we expected to research every URL and find the firs
