No, ECC requires additional signal lines and processor + chipset support.

It's called s2idle and all modern CPUs rely on that, not just AMD. S3 was made obsolete.

Did you know you can replace Macbook keyboard if it brakes, for roughly similar money?

Macbook Pro M2 topcase with a battery here in Poland is 80 USD. Pro M3/M4 is 110 USD. Framework 13 keyboard is 60 USD. There really isn't that much difference, and you're getting a free, used battery.

Yeah, they hold up their value amazingly well. People keep mentioning biodegradability of Framework, but in Macbook world it's basically a non-issue if your old machine is still usable. On the other hand, if something fails out of the

I was somehow totally convinced Framework used coreboot firmware... Not sure where I got it from but boy, was I wrong.

For the record, it's failing silently, too, showing e.g. "There aren’t any open pull requests." even though there are dozens. That's pretty bad, this will definitely mislead people.

Well, agreed on all points. I guess the conclusion is time will tell, but I am sure Apple is legitimately looking into this on some level, especially since Steam is doing so well and keeps expanding Linux user-base.

I am not saying you're wrong, I am just saying we can't draw serious conclusions based on pure speculation. They absolutely need to built their brand first and foremost to scale up and hyping up the brand by "selling out the

Many? Really? Do share some examples, please, on how does Apple easily sway Linux users? EDIT: I now see what you said: I meant 1-3 percentage points out of the 5%, but I am sure you actually know that.

So you're suggesting company would rather not sell a product now but rather wait until a "proper" Apple customer is ready for an upgrade? Product that has a significant profit margin upfront? Also, have you heard about Apple&

I am baffled by how people commonly parrot that flawed logic. Hint: by not seeling those laptops to Linux users they're not making money at all, neither on hardware nor on services.

We're talking about "people walking into Genius Bar expecting help with Linux" support. It's not philosophical discussion on what support is, there's literally a specific thing discussed here.

Outside of gay people, the rest is your projection: they are homogenous society, racial problems are nonexistent. US is heavily heterogenous and despite that you segregated like a third of society at the time. Ridiculous take.
