In Czech none of the keywords are localized. Seems like an unstable interface if language keywords change depending on the state of translation.

Why would you want to automatically resolve the latest semver compatible version from git if you care about security? That's worse than cargo.io where tags are stable, whereas git allows tags to be edited. > No only is it _easier_ t

Isn't that what Anaconda does? As opposed to say conda-forge? Anaconda tries hard to get orgs to pay money when they could just use conda-forge which has more packages, more up to date etc.

Cool writeup by a 15yo, except for the way it completely oversells in the title. Basically this allowed an attacker to find out which cloudflare data center a victim connected to when being tricked into loading something from cloudflare. Th

I'm not sure whether the uptime guarantee is 99.9% independently or jointly for each service, i.e. if service A is down for 0.06% and service B another 0.06% but not at the same time, will this count as overall uptime >99.9% or <

No, inflation doesn't increase the present value. If anything, the proper way is to discount the future (potential) costs by say 5-10% per year, as the business may not exist forever etc. The net present value of an annuity of 360 doll

I'd be curious by how much they downplay downtime. Wouldn't be too hard to put together an honest status page that pulls & pushes something new to main every 5 minutes, creates an issue, comments on it etc. Very basic high lev

But root servers aren't a democracy, are they? If US root servers went bonkers, people would just use different root servers. Doesn't matter whether it's 50% or 90% that are in US if they can be ignored?

I'm happy with macOS, I know what to tweak and the display support is great. Ubuntu was very bad with fractional scaling for 4k displays. Maybe skill issue but the ARM Macs are just so fast, don't want to give up on that.
