veetle.com does a really good job at this. I have a six year old media center box that doesn't run anything that well besides veetle and 1080p at that.

For example, say you wanted an extension to be able to take a screenshot of Amazon, but not get access everyone's private data on Amazon. This is not currently possible in Chrome. To get the screenshot, you need to allow access to Amazon.co

There should be a permission for contacting external sites. That's where the biggest security threats lie and most extensions, like a screenshot extension, don't need to be making requests to other sites (like Amazon).

TCP is end to end. 3G is just carries data to your service provider. So wouldn't faking TCP screw up the communication between the mobile service provider and the server you're communicating with?
