Some quirks apparently: From the article, in NYC, "One legal quirk is that if the waitress were actually a cook, searing meat in the anonymity of a kitchen, she wouldn’t be allowed in the tip pool. Only staffers who interact directly w

Why should the rest of us subsidize your tax addiction? This reasoning goes both ways. And I'm not even arguing whether some tax is useful or not - in most cases buying from a foreign vendor means a far far higher overall tax rate - si

Do they? I tend to see 15 vendors of the same item - all claiming to have sold between zero (!) and NN items and having 5999 available ready to ship. With the added complication of using a crappy package delivery company.

Are there a lot of steam district heating systems in the UK? I was thinking low cost retail electricity would be quickly absorbed by anyone not yet on electric (or district) heating buying cheap electric heaters (and they ARE cheap).

I noticed the very moderate goals set by this builder. 1/2 the time to build the house is great, yes! But 80% of the cost seems... good enough for this year? when it's all they can foresee. As mentioned elsewhere this is in spite

That's fair - and anyway nowadays even the interpretation of the constitution has never been more open. A problem with laws is that there are so many to choose from and they are so narrow. See for example the video rental records law.
