why doesn't Mint have is kind of valuation? I guess I don't understand how they differ, I do get that they both rely on giving your bank credentials to a third party and that they both scrape your financial history.

Bloomberg reporters clearly need retraining. As I've stated a few times regarding this story, "photo or it didn't happen". It's a pretty simple standard, maybe Bloomberg will think about applying it now. Or maybe so

+1 on this. My whole reason for using NC has been to remove anything like social features, and let me control sharing. Maybe all this will be optional, but the direction seems opposite to my needs. And the risks from 'extending' t

I think all these visions for micro payments have been swamped by advertising as a source for revenue. I dislike that fact, but I don't think most people care. So micro payments are just a way to make less money than advertising-based

I'm not sure people need a lot of ways to exchange tiny amounts of money either, but the existing ones like Venmo work really well. Without a blockchain. And fast, too!

I will second the slack factor. Semi-synchronous communications are a trap for distributed workers. It makes it feel you are more accessible (actually true of course), but it drives the discourse to the trivial and makes raises decision thr

Curious how this will pan out. It's a shocking contrast to be in or near a city and have broadband speeds, and then be just a few dozen miles outside one and have... literally nothing. I just loaned my Iridium phone to a friend who was

Hmm. Maybe it's time to give SA a try again. I had very little luck in keeping SA performing well over time. It would go for a few months doing a decent job, then just seem to fall off the tracks for a new particular reign of spam, eve

I'm sorry, I didn't intend to start a nit-pick on whether or not all software contains bugs. My response was too glib. The GP asked: > If I have UPnP disabled, am I safe? The answer is yes: If you can disable UPnP, your router

I'll try a recommendation: https://www.flashrouters.com/linksys-wrt1200ac-ddwrt-router No need to install DD-WRT yourself, just pay a little extra and have it shipped to you pre-installed.

Ancient reply, but... Even if Firefox "encrypts" before syncing, they must decrypt in order to provide the clear text password from another browser, no? They don't send "blobs of bytes" to password form entries.

Another option is to buy a pre-configured router from someone like FlashRouters.com (not affiliated, but a customer). They provide routers with DD-WRT or Tomato pre-installed. Yes, you should probably know how to update your router at some
